Yesterday’s public debate went pretty well, although we were hoping for a bigger audience. The topic was “The US Government should not regulate the nutritional intake of its citizens”. I’ve got to say, as someone who has done debate since high school, both competitively and recreationally, the debaters at last night’s debate did a spectacular job and I could be prouder of them. Unfortunately, I was rather sick during the debate and could not deliver my speech but Unaiza stepped up to the plate and delivered both the 2nd and 3rd speech for the affirmative side. We all know it takes great courage to speak in front of any number of people, and these members proved they were up to the challenge.
