This weekend the policy debate squad traveled to the University of West Georgia debate tournament. In novice speaker awards Eran Del Castillo got 3rd and Stephanie Cone got 1st. In varsity speaker awards Jon Prescott got 5th. The gators received first place in novice and second place in varsity.

The competitive season started for our Policy Debate Squad with the Georgia State University National College Debate Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia. The team of Heather Marchini and Amy Medina reached quarterfinals, but was defeated by Louisville in a close round.
