University of Georgia

This weekend the policy debaters traveled to the University of Georgia tournament. In novice, One team made it to octofinals. In JV Simon and Vas made it to quarterfinals and Simon got the 6th speaker award.   

Public Debate: Edward Snowden

The Intramural squad hosted a public debate last night with the topic: Edward Snowden: Hero of the People or National Traitor? The debaters all did a great job and it was an interesting ethical debate. The debaters were: Pro-Snowden: Jessi Rojas and Jordan Lopez Anti-Snowden: Unaiza Batool and Ruchika Agarwal

Hootinanny!

Back before we all left Gainesville for the holidays, the team gathered for our annual holiday party and Secret Santa. There was great food and awesome, thoughtful gifts were exchanged.   

Thanksgiving Potluck

Last night the Speech and Debate team had our annual Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. Everyone made great food and we came together to eat turkey and hang out as a giant speech and debate family. It was a lot if fun and the food was great. Thank you to Leah for hosting us!

Vanderbilt
